Policy-driven Software Licensing
The heart of K2’s unique software license management is KeyServer’s policy-based license configuration panel. The powerful options available in K2 are not found in any other license management tool. You may configure K2’s license policies to allocate and manage unlimited site licenses, node-locked “per-device” licenses, concurrent-use, and custom licenses.

K2 will manage an unlimited number of application programs for use on desktop, thin client, and mobile computers. It will manage your global enterprise network or it can be restricted to specific company divisions and locations.

Simple Configuration
As K2 discovers each program, rules determine an appropriate default action. Many discoveries are uninteresting (e.g. system utilities etc.) and they are assigned to the “Ignored” action so they will be suppressed from most reports. Other rules will elevate more interesting programs to the “Audited” or “Logged” actions.

The Admin console lets you quickly apply explicit actions to specific programs using drag and drop. The “Controlled” action is used for each program that you want to manage according to its license agreement.

The choice of four actions provides a simple and efficient means of managing and reporting software usage at any desired level of detail.
